Competitive Pricing Manager assists with the pricing analysis of revenue, market share, capacity, and competitor activity to provide pricing for products, geographies, and market segments aligned with products and sales strategy. Conducts market research and intelligence gathering and recommends pricing targets. Being a Competitive Pricing Manager maintains competitive pricing databases to monitor changes in the marketplace and their impact on new and existing products. Performs analyses to test customer price sensitivity and elasticity. Additionally, Competitive Pricing Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree in business or related discipline. Typically reports to a manager. The Competitive Pricing Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Competitive Pricing Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.   • Summary:
    Responsible for coordinating and monitoring pricing across all channels and clients, as well as, developing robust pricing models and making recommendations to management.

    Duties:
    • Monitor competitor pricing for many SKUs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
    • Establish a system of documentation and reporting to capture P&L impact of pricing actions throughout the product life cycle.
    • Analyze historical data, cost information and competitive pricing data to develop equitable and profitable selling prices for our products.
    • Work with external vendors and internal stakeholders to provide profit and margin analysis at a SKU, client, and channel level.
    • Identify opportunities to optimize sales and profitability through pricing strategies.
    • Work with Supply Chain and Operations to monitor changes in product and freight expense and adjust prices accordingly to maximize profitability.
    • Work closely with the Sales organization to understand competitive impact of pricing decisions.
    • Evaluate and approve promotions and sales events including assessment of their impact on margin.
    • Present ongoing pricing recommendation and results to Product, Finance and Sales leaders.
    • Drive change in company best methods and be a resource for strategic pricing enhancements. Work on special projects that provide company.
    • Develop pricing policies and procedures.
    • Execute price changes in internal ERP systems.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Education and Qualifications:
    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or equivalent.
    Master’s degree preferred.
    5 years of data-driven marketing or finance-related experience.
    Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
    Knowledge of established accounting, purchasing, and manufacturing practices.
    Advanced Excel, SQL and MS Access modeling skills and proficiency with PowerPoint including ability to manipulate large quantities of data.
    Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
    Ability to quickly evaluate incoming work and manage priorities in time critical situations.
    Ability to extract meaning and suggest action items from data, not just report metrics.

    Physical Demands:
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee may be required to sit for prolonged periods.
