Conducts market research and intelligence gathering and recommends pricing targets. Being a Competitive Pricing Manager maintains competitive pricing databases to monitor changes in the marketplace and their impact on new and existing products. Performs analyses to test customer price sensitivity and elasticity. Additionally, Competitive Pricing Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree in business or related discipline. Typically reports to a manager. The Competitive Pricing Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Competitive Pricing Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. This important commercial role is a counterpart to our Branch manager roles with the same approval levels without direct reports and more day to day transactional decisions. The intent is to provide a go to person that is in the office daily to provide transactional leadership for the Northern Sales and Customer Service Team. The role would be the primary go to person for the sales leadership team of the North to get support on determining delivered product cost so that they can work with the sales team to provide competitive pricing to our customers. Requires a Professional, Collaborative person that has knowledge of BUS, Purchasing, internal Brenntag resources, Brenntag Logistics and Suppliers.
