Competitive Pricing Manager assists with the pricing analysis of revenue, market share, capacity, and competitor activity to provide pricing for products, geographies, and market segments aligned with products and sales strategy. Conducts market research and intelligence gathering and recommends pricing targets. Being a Competitive Pricing Manager maintains competitive pricing databases to monitor changes in the marketplace and their impact on new and existing products. Performs analyses to test customer price sensitivity and elasticity. Additionally, Competitive Pricing Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree in business or related discipline. Responsibilities
As a Competitive Intelligence Manager, you will:
Analyze competitive needs, surveying the market and Competitive Intelligence users to define competitors to cover, resources to provide, and competitive strategies to implement
Conduct primary and secondary research on competitors’ technology, positioning, sales tactics, pricing, strengths, and weaknesses, as well as performing technical comparisons
Analyze and synthesize information to turn it into actionable intelligence, clearly articulating the major facts and how to act on them, as well as defining the strategy to defeat the competition
Develop and maintain actionable competitive messaging, collaterals, and Sales strategy
Distribute, promote, present, and train stakeholders on competitive insight, tools, and collaterals
Help Sales teams differentiate Veeam in highly competitive opportunities
Support Marketing, Pricing, and Product teams with competitive analyses
Support Executives’ decision-making with relevant competitive intelligence and alert Executives of competitive opportunities and threats
Qualifications
3 years in the data protection industry (strong understanding of market trends, vendors, or technologies)
3 years of experience in Competitive Intelligence, Technical Sales, Product Development, or Product Strategy
Demonstrated technical expertise and hands-on experience with data protection software and related technologies (i.e. virtualization, storage, container, cloud) and ability to learn new technologies quickly
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences in English (proven ability to autonomously write Sales, partner, and customer-facing documents)
Strategic thinking, strong research methodology, ethicality, analytical mindset, information synthesis skills, and ability to team up cross-functionally
Bachelor’s degree in Competitive Intelligence, Marketing, software engineering, or Product Management
