Compliance Analyst (Banking) jobs in Binghamton, NY

This role is responsible for performing a variety of duties across multiple departments and units supporting compliance needs and other duties as assigned.

• Schedules and performs compliance reviews as outlined by the bank’s compliance monitoring schedule to ensure compliance with various consumer compliance laws and regulations.
• Conducts annual risk assessments, incorporating legal/regulatory exposure, operational risk, frequency of review findings in the area, and employee skills/turnover to set the review schedule.  The review schedule includes testing the key functions, processes, and controls of the bank to ensure compliance with current laws and regulations.
• Assists in the implementation or revision of compliance policies, procedures and reviews and stays abreast of relevant laws, regulations and best practices to ensure business goals and objectives are met.
• Manages the complaint process, including responses to consumer complaints received from regulatory agencies. Ensures proper follow-up and resolution by appropriate personnel in relation to the Bank’s Complaint Policy.
• Works with CRA / Fair Lending officer on CRA and Fair Lending reviews as assigned.
• Conforms to General Performance Expectations as identified for all employees.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Associates’ Degree or certification in the compliance or risk management field (CCBCO, etc.).
• Two or more years increasing responsibility and work experience in the compliance or risk management field (auditing, law, etc.).
• Proficient interpersonal skills in dealing with clients, colleagues and all levels of management.
• Excellent research skills and the ability to effectively translate and communicate findings to others.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and PDF editing software.
• Ability to travel; valid driver’s license required.

Salary Range $22 to $34 hourly
