Compliance Analyst (Banking) monitors customer accounts and researches transactions to identify suspicious activity violating current anti-money laundering (AML) regulations defined in the US Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) or other governmental anti-terrorist financing programs. Uses customer data mining and software tools to identify suspicious activity patterns. Being a Compliance Analyst (Banking) reviews daily Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) and Questionable Activity Reports (QAR), and submits Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) as appropriate. Ensures adherence to Know your Customer (KYC) protocols. Additionally, Compliance Analyst (Banking) may lead or participate in investigations of suspicious activity to pursue corrective actions and ensure completion of required filings. Keeps abreast with regulatory changes, risk management best practices, and trending methods used by fraud perpetrators. Delivers compliance training with up-to-date regulatory information and procedures to develop and guide a well-informed staff. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May have the Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification. Typically reports to a manager. The Compliance Analyst (Banking) work is closely managed. Primary Function
The primary responsibility of this position will be to ensure that product approvals are obtained from the necessary parties (independent test labs, regulatory bodies, etc.) according to company schedule. Provide guidance to teams regarding regulations/standards pertaining to product.
Essential Duties
Manage the submission and approval process of software to ITL’s and regulatory bodies through completion.
Prepares and distributes the proper notifications to regulators regarding the shipment of games and software to ensure compliance with product shipping related regulations and requirements of various jurisdictions in which the company does business within time constraints to support
Business targets
Monitors the day to day shipping and notification process (i.e.: review appropriate system report for orders, Outlook inbox for machine notifications to Regulatory Authorities)
Verifies that the game and software are approved for the jurisdiction
Updates on software safe inventory monthly
Verifies and complies with all shipping compliance requirements, including providing copies of approval letters and PAR sheets to Regulators as necessary
Prepares machine and software notifications for submissions to the appropriate Gaming Regulatory Agency and casino receiving the shipment
Coordinates with Regulatory Agencies to obtain current gaming agency contact information and shipping notification requirements and maintains information in appropriate system
Responds to requests from casinos, regulators and internal departments for various order related inquiries and other compliance documents
Builds working relationships with other departments to collect information required to complete notifications
Keeps department management appropriately informed of notification deadlines and ongoing activity as directed by department management, including critical matters regarding regulatory compliance
Provide management with weekly updates on submission status.
Review and interpret applicable regulations and technical standards in regulated markets as they relate to SSC’s games for jurisdictional expansion.
Suggest potential implementations, changes and/or improvements to ideas and products.
Communicate with game designers to relay regulations and standards.
Manage software inventory. Providing new software to Production and ensuring disapproved software is removed.
Assist cross-training for production team members who function as liaisons between compliance and manufacturing department.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
3 years’ experience in the gaming industry preferably at a gaming manufacturer working in Product Compliance.
Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Excellent time management and multitasking skills
Perform tasks under minimal supervision using independent and proactive thought
Well-developed verbal, listening, and written communications skills
Regularly spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers
Occasionally lift 5-10 pounds
