Job Title: Glassware Technician

Job Description: The Glassware Technician is responsible for the daily management of glassware cleaning, organizing, and inventory of glassware for the laboratory. The technician will work independently in a laboratory environment and will also assist with other duties critical to the operational flow of the laboratory.

Essential Duties:

• Process and Clean Glassware on a daily basis.
• Manage a clean and safe work environment.
• Monitor the laboratory’s purified water system on a daily basis.
• Logging and receiving of laboratory samples and supplies as necessary.
• Other tasks as required.
• Must be motivated and able to work independently in a dynamic laboratory operation.
• Must be reliable and able to work independently.
• Must be able to communicate with scientists in the laboratory effectively to ensure appropriate inventories of glassware are maintained.
• Two years minimum educational or work experience in the Life Sciences or related field preferred but not necessary. Position is ideal for individual who prefers to work independently with minimal supervision.
