JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Obtains domestic and international agency certifications, third party test reports to support self-declarations, pre-compliance with regulatory requirements associated with food safety, migration, and product safety of a highly technical and complex nature as needed.
* Evaluates products to current compliance and regulatory requirements and communicate findings to the product development team to ensure pre-compliance in design and efficient external testing and approvals with minimal review required.
* Provides guidance to design team to resolve compliance issues.
* Tracks updates for compliance and regulatory requirements and standards for both domestic and international markets.
* Assists in research of new standards to ensure our products meet future standards and regulation requirements.
* Tracks and maintains current certifications.
* Creates and maintains compliance and regulatory test work instructions for internal testing.
* Evaluates impact on compliance related product changes and implements change notices as required.
* Ensures execution of pre-compliance testing, as needed.
* Maintains accurate compliance documentation in PLM system.
* Correctly assesses and addresses project technical risks which may result from product test and construction evaluation.
* Assists with factory visits with certification agency auditors. Provides written response to any non-conformances noted on audit reports and report quality problems or potential issues to appropriate personnel.
* Detects and reports quality or process problems, improper operations, and unusual conditions to supervision

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent field with minimum of 3 years of experience
* Engineering Product Development Experience
* Project Management Experience
* Technical understanding if there is risk of harm requirements need to be put in place
* Ability to manage multiple complex projects.
* Must be a strong communicator both oral and written with all levels (technicians up to executives and 3rd party vendors)
* Experience with Consumer Goods is a plus
