    Starting Annual Pay: $70,200

    Standard Employment Requirements

    1. Must possess a valid and unrestricted Arizona driver’s license (within 30 days of hire if applicant is from out-of-state) with no DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions in the last five years. No more than two at-fault accidents in the last three years. Must maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license during employment. Must be insurable under NATIVE HEALTH’s liability auto policy.
    2. Must pass a criminal background check and obtain a Class I Fingerprint Clearance Card within the initial ninety (90) calendar days of employment and retain a valid card while employed with NATIVE HEALTH.
    3. Must pass substance abuse testing upon employment and submit to random testing during employment.
    4. Must provide an updated immunization (IZ) record at the time of employment.
    5. Must have a current (within 12 months) Tuberculosis (TB) skin report upon employment and provide an annual update.
    6. Must obtain a First Aid/CPR Card within (90) calendar days of employment and maintain a valid CPR Card during employment.

    Job Description

    The Compliance Associate assists the Chief Compliance Officer with the development, implementation, oversight, and evaluation of NATIVE HEALTH’s Compliance Program. The Compliance Associate helps ensure that management and employees are in compliance with the rules and regulations of various regulatory agencies and the law, that company policies and procedures are being followed, and that behavior in the organization meets the company’s Code of Conduct. The Compliance Associate is primarily responsible for writing new organizational policies as needed, reviewing existing policies as required, and submitting policy changes to the Quality Assurance Committee.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    1. Provide additional oversight and assist with monitoring the development, implementation, and reporting of NATIVE HEALTH’s Compliance Program.
    2. Identify high risk areas and ensure that compliance issues/concerns within the organization are evaluated, investigated and resolved.
    3. Identify methods to reduce vulnerability to fraud, waste, and abuse.
    4. Assist with the coordination of the compliance training program.
    5. Coordinate with all NATIVE HEALTH departments to ensure Compliance Program requirements are met and reporting is done.
    6. Supports the organization as needed.

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

    1. Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s desired
    2. A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in healthcare organizations. Familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance, and human resource procedures and regulations preferred.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    1. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
    2. Knowledge of health care law, labor law, safety, regulations, and standards.
    3. Some understanding of coding and reimbursement systems, risk management, and/or performance improvement.
    4. Excellent people skills and ability to work well with staff, legal counsel, and others.
    5. Reliable, demonstrates commitment and unity in relation to Native Health’s regulations and policies and procedures.
    6. Strong attention to detail and ability to notice actions that may result in liability.
    7. Culturally competent; able to work with a diverse workforce.
    8. Open to change and willing to model change within the organization.
    9. Professional integrity; excellent work ethic.
    10. Able to manage competing priorities, excellent organizational skills and good time management.
    11. Proficient with computer-based applications such as MS Office, Adobe, and electronic health record.
    12. Must be able to work with confidential material without betraying trust of client, family, and the agency.
