We are a home health care agency offering both medical and non-medical services in Westchester County, Lower Hudson Region, Long Island, NYC Boroughs, and Western NY Region. Our team consists of companions, live-ins, home health aides, nurses, and more, providing support services that allow clients to remain independent at home.

Community Care is looking to hire a HR Compliance Specialist for our Rochester office. The ideal candidate will work in tandem with our compliance department to ensure onboarded caregivers are compliant with state and federal regulatory standards, assisting with internal retrospective audits, monitoring exclusions, and identifying potential departmental risk areas. Additionally, the compliance specialist will build positive relationships with field staff as they procure mandatory compliance and implement compliance initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must have knowledge of HR Personnel file required documentation, HCR, CHRC and maintaining personnel files in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
• Must have experience conducting HR Personnel File audits and maintaining personnel file compliance with all local, state, and federal laws.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience using HHAeXchange preferred
• Must possess strong technology skills to assist in implementing and problem-solving software platforms

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1 to 2 years of Experience in HR or Compliance
• Relevant experience in homecare preferred.
• Able to work independently and manage workflows in a fast paced and highly confidential environment
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and work on various projects.

• Demonstrates knowledge of hiring laws, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management.
• PC proficient to include MS Office, MS Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.
• Bilingual Spanish a huge plus.
