Compliance Director (Banking) manages operations to identify and respond to suspicious activity violating current anti-money laundering (AML) regulations as defined in the US Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) or other governmental anti-terrorist financing programs. Implements oversight systems, interdiction software, and audit processes to perform daily transaction monitoring and identify suspicious activity patterns. Being a Compliance Director (Banking) monitors activity and ensures adherence to Know your Customer (KYC) protocols and regulatory requirements for required filings and reporting. Leads investigations of suspicious activity to pursue corrective actions and ensure completion of required filings. Additionally, Compliance Director (Banking) maintains extensive knowledge of financial regulations, risk management best practices, and changing fraudulent trends to develop and implement appropriate compliance procedures. Delivers compliance training with up-to-date regulatory information and procedures to develop and guide well-informed staff. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May have the Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification. Typically reports to a director. The Compliance Director (Banking) typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Compliance Director (Banking) typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Manages a simple to moderately complex banking portfolio of individuals with high-net worth using banking strategies and solutions. Provides advice, counsel, and high-level customer service to meet the financial needs of members. Supports standards for managing net portfolio in a manner that ensures compliance with credit union regulations, policies and procedures, credit quality and credit policy requirements.

    What you’ll do:
    • Build and maintain business relationships with targeted high value and high net worth clients.
    • Serve as members’ primary point of contact or as a strong secondary contact and provide service in a personalized, quick, innovative way that provides best in class.
    • Make member focused recommendations and provides high value product solutions.
    • Finalize, help structure, and close deals with a high rate of success.
    • Fully understand the members profile, financial status, and financial goals to ensure the product and service offerings are in the customer’s best interest.
    • Educate members directly or with internal staff about financial strategies, products and services that will meet or exceed their needs.
    • Prospect for clients by sourcing and building own pipeline of clients/opportunities.
    • Work closely with internal teammates to determine and execute processes that provide a streamlined method of service delivery for members.
    What we’re looking for:
    • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
    • Minimum of 3 years of successful sales/client service experience of higher net worth clients.
    • Previous sales experience with full-service financial institution helpful.
    • Excellent interviewing, communication, and public relations skills.
    • Strong networking and business development skills.
    • Strong analytical and financial skills.
    • Dependable, punctual, and able to retain confidential information.
