Compliance Director (Banking) manages operations to identify and respond to suspicious activity violating current anti-money laundering (AML) regulations as defined in the US Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) or other governmental anti-terrorist financing programs. Implements oversight systems, interdiction software, and audit processes to perform daily transaction monitoring and identify suspicious activity patterns. Being a Compliance Director (Banking) monitors activity and ensures adherence to Know your Customer (KYC) protocols and regulatory requirements for required filings and reporting. Leads investigations of suspicious activity to pursue corrective actions and ensure completion of required filings. Additionally, Compliance Director (Banking) maintains extensive knowledge of financial regulations, risk management best practices, and changing fraudulent trends to develop and implement appropriate compliance procedures. Delivers compliance training with up-to-date regulatory information and procedures to develop and guide well-informed staff. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May have the Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification. Typically reports to a director. The Compliance Director (Banking) typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Compliance Director (Banking) typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.   • Position Purpose:  

    Direct platform and teller activity to provide efficient, high quality customer service, achieve retail sales targets, and deliver that service profitably through a well-trained and motivated staff. Responsible for the performance of, but not limited to, the below listed duties:

    Essential Functions and Basic Duties:

    1.  Serves as communicator to team of company initiatives and information shared by

    Management.  

    1.  Collaborates and communicates with Management on team member development,

    training needs and performance.

    1.  Leads and directs team members by example with excellent customer service skills and

    quality.

    1.  Meets office deposit and loan growth goals.  Reviews these goals with the team on a

    weekly, monthly and per program cycle basis to communicate progress to the

    goals.

    1.  Meets a minimum of monthly with each team member, 1:1 meetings, to review objectives

    and goals.  Receives team member’s input to improve office performance so that high

    quality information flows in both directions. 

    1.  Ensures that team members are completing functions outlined on the Retail Office

    Verification Checklist.  Specifically reviewing functions related to team member

    performance, risk and security.

    1.  Manages team member staff schedules to appropriately meet customer transaction

    demands.

    1.  Oversees daily operations and serves as primary point for team members on customer

    service and transaction processing. 

    1.        Controls monetary losses by emphasizing proper procedures to be followed; i.e. Reg CC

    Deposit Holds, Check Cashing guidelines, proper account review. 

    1.  Participates and promotes community activities to enhance public awareness of the

    bank. 

    1.      Complies with all bank and personnel policies and procedures including but not limited to

    policies and procedures regarding the Bank Secrecy Act.

    1.  Complete periodic training provided and/or required by Colony including but not limited

    to BSA training within required time frames assigned.

    1.  Other duties as assigned.

     

    •      Job Education & Experience:

        High School diploma or equivalent

    •       Three (3) or more years Bank experience
    •        Financial lending experience preferred
    •        Public communications experience
    •       Relevant computer skills
