Compliance Manager (Banking) supervises daily operations to identify and respond to suspicious activity violating current anti-money laundering (AML) regulations as defined in the US Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) or other governmental anti-terrorist financing programs. Uses oversight systems, interdiction software, and audit processes to perform daily transaction monitoring and identify suspicious activity patterns. Being a Compliance Manager (Banking) monitors activity and ensures adherence to Know your Customer (KYC) protocols and regulatory requirements for required filings and reporting. Leads investigations of suspicious activity to pursue corrective actions and ensure completion of required filings. Additionally, Compliance Manager (Banking) maintains extensive knowledge of financial regulations, risk management best practices, and changing fraudulent trends to develop and implement appropriate compliance procedures. Delivers compliance training with up-to-date regulatory information and procedures to develop and guide well-informed staff. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May have the Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification. Typically reports to a director. The Compliance Manager (Banking) supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Compliance Manager (Banking) typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.     Location: Fort Mill, South Carolina
    Environment: In Office Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
    Pay Rate: $62,500 / Salary $300.00 Monthly Car Allowance

    POSITION SUMMARY:
    The Compliance Manager is responsible for centrally supporting branches to achieve 100% compliance in all employment-related areas. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Employee licensing and personnel files
    • Federal, State or Municipal employment laws
    • Collective Bargaining Agreement requirements
    • Site-specific contractual requirements (specific to employment matters)
    • Wage and Hour administration
    • Sick Pay/Leave administration
    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
    • Assist branches in self-audit of employee-related GardaWorld’s Mandatory Requirements
    • Develop and deploy auditing forms/standards for enterprise; maintain annually
    • Review WinTeam by the branch to ensure the Compliance tracker is maintained
    • Review the handbook annually for updates
    • Researches regulations by reviewing regulatory bulletins and other sources of information. Assist HR team and branches in identifying changes to applicable employment laws by state/municipality
    • Serve as an interpreter for all new employment laws
    • Schedule, coordinate and conduct internal audits as assigned. Prepare audit reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information
    • Assist branches in creating action plans based on audit results. Follow up with the status of action items.
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

    MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources/business management or related field
    • A minimum of 4 years’ administration in a staffing environment

    • Pass an extensive background screening which includes, but is not limited to, criminal background checks (local, state and federal), drug test, aptitude tests, skills assessments, interviews, and personality profiles (behavioral assessment)
    • Tech-savvy with experience in both proprietary and mass-market systems
    • Must be at least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements
