Guardian Savings Bank is looking for a highly motivated compliance professional with lending experience.

Purpose of the role

This role requires a high energy, service oriented individual with a professional demeanor whose focus is on accurately and timely processing of denied loan applications. This may consist of answering questions from loan originators, underwriters, processors and other employees. This role performs any combination of activities related to mortgage applications. Requires a passion for helping others, the ability to communicate professionally with co-workers in a timely manner with a positive attitude. All of this must be achieved while protecting sensitive customer information.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Gather, organize and assemble loan files
• Extensive knowledge of Fair Lending laws including Reg. B and HMDA.
• Knowledge of other consumer regulations such as FCRA, Privacy and UDAP
• Retire flood determinations
• Prepare and send Adverse Action notices
• Review HMDA data for accuracy
• Ensure HMDA data is entered in loan origination system
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize workflow efficiently
• Ability to resolve problems
• Attention to detail
• Handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
• Understanding of department and bank operations and systems
• Ability to demonstrate good judgement in difficult situations
• Protect confidential and sensitive information
• Ability to work independently or in a team setting

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity with mortgage loan documentation preferred
• Basic Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Office program experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Work in a Team environment
• Excellent customer service skills with internal customers
• Excellent organization, data entry, mathematical skills and attention to detail
