The Cyber Security Officer works under the direction of the Director of Facility Management- Info, and holds the primary responsibility is the protection, integrity, & compliance of the organization’s security, specifically within the electronic & physical environments. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to the execution of annual security risk assessments, audits, & mitigations to ensure the organization’s compliance with HIPAA & HITECH, as well as state & federal, standards & regulations, in adherence to Madison Memorial policies and procedures. In addition to performing assessments and audits, Cyber Security Officer will perform penetration, vulnerability testing, & investigate security incidents. They will continually develop & deliver security trainings to the organization to continually re-enforce best practices against social engineering, phishing, & other security threats. As a part of the primary responsibilities, they will be required to provide the appropriate reports & documentation to assist with decision making; along with aiding in the creation & enforcement of organizational policy and procedures.
