The Cyber Security Officer works under the direction of the Director of Facility Management- Info, and holds the primary responsibility is the protection, integrity, & compliance of the organization’s security, specifically within the electronic & physical environments. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to the execution of annual security risk assessments, audits, & mitigations to ensure the organization’s compliance with HIPAA & HITECH, as well as state & federal, standards & regulations, in adherence to Madison Memorial policies and procedures. In addition to performing assessments and audits, Cyber Security Officer will perform penetration, vulnerability testing, & investigate security incidents. They will continually develop & deliver security trainings to the organization to continually re-enforce best practices against social engineering, phishing, & other security threats. As a part of the primary responsibilities, they will be required to provide the appropriate reports & documentation to assist with decision making; along with aiding in the creation & enforcement of organizational policy and procedures.

• Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm/ nights and weekends required as needed

Required Skills:

• Advanced comprehension of security concepts & best practice standards
• Advanced understanding of HIPAA & HITECH regulations & standards
• Thorough understanding of Active Directory/Directory Service & Group Policy
• Working knowledge of Cisco networks, Microsoft Server, & VMWare Platforms
• Intermediate understanding of Windows OSs (Server & Desktop), Linux, & UNIX
• Basic programming/scripting proficiency
• Excellent oral & written communication skills
• Understanding of potential attack vectors, secure coding practices, ethical hacking, and threat modeling

Minimum Work Experience:

• Three (3) years of related experience supporting, maintaining, and/or managing the security of networks (routers, switches, & firewalls) & systems (servers, desktops, & mobile endpoints)
• Two (2) years supporting, maintaining, and/or managing VMWare, Microsoft/Linux Server Platforms, & Web/Internet Protocols (TCP/IP, SSL, & IP Sec)
• One (1) year experience with regulatory audit & compliance procedures & processes – HIPAA/HITECH preferred

Minimum Education:

• Associate’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or similar certifications
