    THE OPPORTUNITY:

    We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Insurance Agency Compliance Specialist to join our team. As an integral member of our insurance agency, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our operations comply with all relevant industry regulations, laws, and company policies. You will play a crucial role in mitigating risks, maintaining the agency's reputation, and fostering a culture of compliance within the organization .

    The Compliance Specialist will perform the essential functions of this position to the quality and service standards developed by HUB and will continue to cultivate positive relationships both internally and externally to support in the overall business success.

    As an Insurance Agency Compliance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the agency's reputation and ensuring that we adhere to all regulatory requirements.     Duties and responsibilities:

    • Maintain timely and accurate market intelligence regarding carrier products, benefits, as well as compliance in insurance laws and legislation (COBRA, HIPAA, etc.)

    • Coordinate the resources and delivery of employee benefits services to best meet our clients’ needs and expectations.

    • Ownership of required client documents including document review for accuracy, gathering required information, and obtaining signatures

    • Answer to client inquiries and escalate, as needed.

    • Facilitate the internal workflow of clients’ compliance documents/requirements.

    • Run reports through Benefit Point system for data accuracy and review.

    • In partnership with the Compliance Partners, review and analyze employee benefit service practices and compliance policies regularly.

    • Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with the internal HUB team as well as external clients.

    • Proactively seek personal development and growth to keep up to date on compliance laws and regulations as well as industry trends.

    • Adhere to all agency policies, procedures, protocol, and state regulations.

    • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with federal, state, and local insurance regulations and laws. Ensure the agency's operations and procedures adhere to these regulations and proactively identify potential compliance issues.

    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, capable of identifying potential compliance gaps and implementing corrective actions.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate with various teams and convey compliance concepts to non-experts.

    • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

    • Proficiency in using compliance-related software and tools.

    Qualifications

    Work experience:

    Education: Bachelor's degree in business or a related field

    Working conditions

    Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. May travel up to 25% of the time.

    Physical requirements

    Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
