    What You'll Do

    The Compliance Supervisor primary duties include supporting the Tent Division by overseeing the global team responsible for the planning and organization of all elements of compliance related to tent production.  The Compliance Supervisor is tasked with maintaining the systems, interfacing with the necessary municipalities, and ensuring timely compliance in all required areas. These areas include but are not limited to, engineered plans, site surveying, underground utility planning, and municipal permitting.  To do this, the Compliance Supervisor will need to maintain efficient systems, understand the requirements of all temporary building code, and ultimately distribute the workload accordingly at a global department level. The position requires continual interaction with Tent Sales Team members at all locations to ensure these requirements are met thoroughly and on-time. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales – Tent Division.


    The Day-to-Day

    · Works closely with the Tent Project Managers to fulfill the areas of the permitting process necessary for successful event execution at all Company locations 

    · Supervises the Tent Permitting Team responsible for obtaining permits from all municipalities at all Company locations. 

    · Supervises the CAD designer to ensure that all requirements are being met, that files are accurate and locally housed, and that sketches are complete in a timely manner 

    · Develop and maintain all systems associated with the permit process inclusive of new municipalities 

    · Work with State and Local Building Inspectors to ensure compliance to Building Code

    · Ensure proper documentation of files as required by Building /Fire Officials remain organized and current

    · Ensure the internal systems are efficient and cover all elements of compliance for a tented event

    · Ensures all Permit-Related SOP’s and Permit Requirements by Town are up to date and accurate for Sales Team

    · Ensure all engineering is organized and on hand, assist with updates as needed

    · Complete appropriate permit applications as required by code

    · Provide feedback and solutions for continuous improvement

    · Provide compliance support to all other company team members as needed 

    · Assist with Site Inspections & Dig Safe pre-marking as needed

    · Maintain a forward-thinking approach in entering new markets to ensure successful tent project activation 

    · Maintain a consistent office schedule at all Company locations 

    · Additional responsibilities as required

    Requirements

      

    What We're Looking For

    · 3-4 years’ experience in event planning, construction, permitting or related industry

    · Strong organizational skills

    · Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills

    · Project management skills including communication and superior documentation coordination.

    · Ability to multi-task and manage workload imbalance

    · Ability to work independently as well as with others

    · Ability to manage a team of hourly team members 

    · Ability to interface with code officials as a representative of the Company 

    · Ability to travel to all Company locations
