The Pharmacy Hub, located in Miami Gardens, Florida, is a technology-driven compounding mail-order pharmacy specializing in efficient and prescription fulfillment for high-volume digital health clinicians. We are seeking a highly motivated pharmacy technician to be an integral part of our growing compounding and quality assurance team.
Job Summary:
As a Nonsterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in preparing nonsterile compounded medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist in support of regulatory compliance with USP 795 and 800 along with facility quality standards.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Accurately measure, weigh, and mix ingredients for the compounding of nonsterile medications according to established formulations and procedures.
- Utilize appropriate tools and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and functionality before each use.
- Perform quality checks at each stage of the compounding process to verify dosage accuracy and product integrity.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety guidelines, including USP <795> for nonsterile compounding and USP <800> for hazardous drug compounding.
- Record all compounding activities in accordance with pharmacy policies and regulatory standards.
- Maintain detailed logs of ingredient batches, expiration dates, and patient-specific information.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, performing routine cleaning of tools, equipment, and the compounding area.
- Work closely with pharmacists and other technicians to ensure accurate and timely preparation of compounded medications.
- Participate in team meetings and provide input on improving compounding workflows.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Fluent in English; bilingual proficiency in Spanish preferred.
- Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician License.
- Flexible work schedule, including weekends.
- Strong numerical aptitude for accurate calculations.
- Proven ability to multitask effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of nonsterile compounding best practices.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems.
- Experience in a compounding pharmacy or healthcare environment.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
