Computer Numeric Control Machine Programmer programs and sets up CNC milling, lathe, or other machinery according to blueprint specifications. Reads and interprets technical blueprints and design models and inputs the product design into the computer modeling software. Being a Computer Numeric Control Machine Programmer adjusts machine settings to the desired product specifications, and troubleshoots and maintains the machine. Utilizes G or M code and CAM software (MasterCAM,CAMWorks or others). Additionally, Computer Numeric Control Machine Programmer tests accuracy of settings and programs. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Computer Numeric Control Machine Programmer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. ### Duties: - Conduct quality inspections on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards. - Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to perform accurate measurements. - Utilize a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to inspect complex parts and components. - Perform quality audits to identify any non-conformities or deviations from established procedures. - Analyze data and test results to identify trends or areas for improvement. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions. - Fabricate and maintain inspection fixtures and gauges as needed. - Follow established quality assurance (QA/QC) protocols and procedures. - Adhere to HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) guidelines for food safety inspections. ### Experience: - Previous experience in quality control or quality inspection roles preferred. - Familiarity with using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. - Proficiency in operating a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) is highly desirable. - Knowledge of quality assurance principles and practices. - Ability to analyze data and interpret test results accurately. - Strong attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformities or deviations from specifications. - Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
