Computer Programmer IDMS, COBOL

Job Description Summary:

A mainframe, Computer Associates IDMS, COBOL programmer is required as full time employee of Full Circle for the U.S. Navy at the Mechanicsburg, PA Navy base. The Navy’s NAVSUP Business Systems Center (BSC) required this resources to support the programming, maintenance and sustainment of the Integrated Technical Item Management & Procurement (ITIMP) System. The support also includes some functional design, software development, and continued interoperability. This role requires submission of paperwork for a Secret Security Clearance.

Critical Previous Experience

* Computer Associates IDMS & Databases

* COBOL 6.2 Complier,

* IBM mainframes, , IBM Utilities, SQ4016

* Production Support with JCL, Time Sharing Option (TSO)

* Database management sustainment

* Software Compliance and Sustainment

* Production Support and Sustainment

* Coding, testing, and implementing break-fixes for Program Trouble Reports (PTRs)

Required Education & Years of Experience:

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science strongly preferred

* Will sponsor training for Security Certification, if candidates does not have it.

* Technical Certification preferred in Mainframe

* 10 Years as Programmer, Coder, Developer, Software

Duties, Responsibilities

* Software Compliance and Sustainment

* Production Support and Sustainment

* Coding, testing, and implementing break-fixes for Program Trouble Reports (PTRs)

* Database management sustainment

* Ensuring production jobs for applications are set up, scheduled and run successfully

* Recommending software changes needed in ITIMP to support new versions

* Coding and testing ITIMP software changes

* Releasing changes and updates into production within established deadlines for compliance

Schedule:

· Full-time, Monday to Friday 8 hour days, OR Four (4) 10.5-Hour days

· Paid time off for holidays, vacation

Pay: $94,000.00 - $98,000.00 per year
