About the Role

A Machine Operator installs, fixes and operates various types of machinery and ensures the machine works at its full capacity and performs timely quality checks and is a resilient, team-minded individual who does not stray away from a challenge. Duties and responsibility often include:

• Setting up manufacturing equipment.
• Use machine equipment to complete tasks.
• Ensure quality of parts or materials meets standards.
• Evaluates efficiency of machines and identifies improvements as needed.
• Follows all safety rules and practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

About You

Basic Qualifications

• Basic math including fractions
• Read shop drawing
• Use of a tape measure
• Manufacturing machinery experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior relevant experience
• Forklift certified
• Overhead crane experience
• Inventory control knowledge
• Proficiency with hand tools

Physical Requirements

• Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
• Must be able to see details at close range.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.
