  • Job Summary: The Torno’s operator's role involves loading raw materials, monitoring the machining process, adjusting machine settings as necessary, and ensuring the quality of the finished parts.     Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Operate Tornos machines according to job specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards.
    • Load raw materials into the machine and monitor the machining process to ensure proper operation.
    • Adjust machine settings as necessary to maintain product quality and meet production targets.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks on Tornos machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn components.
    • Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure they meet all quality requirements before releasing them for further processing or shipment.
    • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Keep accurate records of production activities, including machine settings, production quantities, and any quality issues encountered.
    • Collaborate with other team members, including engineers and quality inspectors, to optimize production processes and improve product quality.
    • Complete any additional duties or projects as assigned.

    • Vision corrected to 20/20 for accurate inspection of parts.

    Physical/Environmental Demands: The characteristics listed below are representative of the physical and environmental demands required by an individual to successfully perform the essential duties of this position.     • Ability to continuously lift 10 lbs., frequently lift up to 25 lbs., occasionally lift 50 lbs.
    • Ability to bend and stoop to pick up product.
    • Ability to stretch and reach.
    • Ability to stand/walk for entire shift.
    • Typically, work is performed within a manufacturing environment where the noise level is moderate.
