Runs production batch work on AFCU Mainframe. Acts as a technical liaison between AFCU Mainframe users and the Information Services Division. Troubleshoots and resolves Mainframe operating problems. Accurately performs data entry functions and produces reports and records. Loads and operates computers and peripheral equipment and ensures that Computer Operations functions run smoothly. Maintains activity logs, completes data backups, report generation, and performs minor preventive maintenance on equipment. Provides similar services on all AFCU test systems as well as production system. Notifies supervisor of significant problems and recurring errors in operating programs.
Additional duties include:
- Monitors, Maintains, and Backup HOST and ATM Systems.
- Run and execute AFCU batch jobs.
- Performs mainframe data entry functions.
- Performs updates on FileNet and IM-Gate systems.
- Loads and print forms.
- Performs preventive maintenance on computer equipment.
- Notifies supervisor of significant host problems and recurring errors.
- Assist Lead Operator with AFCU personnel as needed.
Must be available 24/7/365 to work 3 rotating shifts.
High school graduate or equivalent. • College course work in computer science or equivalent experience preferred. • Understanding of Mainframe / PC hardware and software.• Excellent communication skills and willingness to assist others. • Professional appearance, dress, and attitude. • Able to work well independently.
