Job Description

Mission Technologies a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries seeking Configuration Manager to support the Air Force's Mobility Air Force Distributed Mission Operations (MAF DMO) program. Selected candidate must be a detail-oriented professional to establish and support configuration management (CM) process for MAF DMO simulation and training capabilities. Individual will work closely with internal and external program stakeholders to manage program deliverables.

This role is NOT eligible for remote or hybrid work and is executed on-site.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Plans and coordinates preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met. Analyzes proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system. Coordinates modification records for management control. Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor. Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities. Duties and responsibilities include:

• Identifying and implementing configuration management processes, review and recommend improvements to existing processes, create, and maintain the program Configuration Management Plan.
• Configuration identification of software and documentation, including assigning unique ID numbers and ensuring version control, maintain version control of software, hardware, and documentation.
• Implementation and maintenance of a physical CM Library, providing controlled access and reproducing data as needed.
• Regulating the change process to ensure only approved and validated changes are incorporated into program products.
• Tracking CDRL due dates, ensuring timely delivery and configuration control of all versions. Organizing and supporting recurring Configuration Control Board, providing agendas and meeting minutes.
• Coordinating with customers and subcontractors to merge external documentation input into common program-controlled documents.
• Performing configuration status accounting, generating ad hoc reports as required.
• Updating and tracking Discrepancy Reports.
• Performing and supporting audits to verify that requirements of all baselines have been met.
• Identifying, packaging, duplicating, and delivering release products to multiple fielded sites and the government.

Minimum Qualifications

• 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
• Ability to define manageable CM processes (check-out/check-in, build, release, etc.) and implement them.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite products to include MS Project, Adobe Acrobat.
• Knowledgeable in Windows and Linux operating systems, computer hardware, and networking.
• Proficient in the use of CM tools, including JIRA, GitLab, and other CI/CD tools.
• Familiarity with media duplicating tools and software.
• Ability to evaluate the current environment, identify needs and propose a recommended CM solution.

Preferred Requirements

• Three years of experience in establishing and maintaining consistent product performance and tracking configuration of all training systems during development and fielding.
• Familiarity with CI/DI Tools such as PDXpress.
• Familiarity with CMMI levels 2 and 3 processes and procedures.
• Experience working in a CMMI/Agile/Department of Defense environment.
• Certifications (e.g. ITIL, CMII, CM, IAT, NDIA, CMPIC)

Physical Requirements
