Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Data Analyst to join our Customer Success department. The Data Analyst will be responsible for creating custom report dashboards and facilitating data imports for new customers. This role requires a strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and Power Query, MySQL, and AWS Quicksight or other data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau. You will work closely with our Customer Success Representatives to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new customers.

Responsibilities:

• Data Collection, Cleaning, and Import:
• Gather data from various sources provided by customers.
• Clean and preprocess data using Excel and Power Query to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare data for import using our internal import tools.
• Ensure data handling follows best practices for accuracy and security.
• Data Analysis:
• Use statistical techniques to assist customers in analyzing data and identify trends and insights.
• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to understand the underlying structure of the data.
• Consult customers on their reporting needs then provide appropriate report solutions.
• Reporting and Data Visualization:
• Create custom report dashboards using AWS Quicksight and our internal report-building tools.
• Develop interactive visualizations to meet customer needs and improve their data insights.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with Customer Success Representatives during the onboarding process of new customers.
• Understand customer requirements and translate them into data solutions.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of documentation and standards for data imports and reporting.
• Advise customers on effective data collection and reporting strategies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in data analysis or a related role.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Query.
• Experience with MySQL for data querying and manipulation.
• Proficiency in AWS Quicksight or other data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a customer-facing role.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with small teams in SaaS startups.
• Familiarity with the nonprofit sector.
• Experience with other data analysis and visualization tools.
