Job Summary:

The Configuration Analyst II is a key contributor that is responsible for configuring and maintaining the Cognizant/Trizetto Facets system. This position demands a unique blend of critical thinking, technical proficiency and communication skills to support the business needs.

Key Functions/Responsibilities:

• Configuration and maintenance of the Facets system. (NetworX, Medical Plan Applications, Workflow, Application Support, etc)
• Identify, triage and resolve configuration issues.
• Communicate effectively with the business.
• Perform routine system maintenance activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

• General supervision is received weekly.

Qualifications:

Education Required:

• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of formal education and experience.

Education Preferred

• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience Required:

• Requires at least 2 years relevant experience in either of the following: Business systems analysis, preferably across multiple hardware and software platforms or
• Business unit experience that includes working closely with IT in the development and implementation of systems.
• Experience working with Healthcare Transactional Systems

Experience Preferred/Desirable:

• Facets configuration experience preferred.
• Previous experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement is desirable, involving broad-based information systems and utilizing tools and techniques to effect business change.
• Experience in the strategic use of technology in managing and growing a business.
• Experience in organizing, planning, and executing projects from vision through implementation, involving internal personnel, contractors, and vendors.
• Familiarity with Claim Test Pro
• Familiarity with Optum Groupers & Pricers
• Familiarity with Optum's Claims Edit System

Required Licensure, Certification or Conditions of Employment:

• Successful completion of pre-employment background check.

Competencies, Skills, and Attributes:

• Knowledge of the assigned business area's products and processes.
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to express complex technical concepts in terms that are understandable to the business.
• Strong verbal communication skills while interacting with team members, other teams in the IT department, end users, and/or other departments throughout the organization.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills; a demonstrated track record in new concept development for various projects and complex technical plans.
• Ability to solve problems often spanning multiple environments in a business area.
• Understanding of how IT affects an organization and ability to link it to redesigned business process.
• Ability to be a team player; flexible, friendly, congenial, and enthusiastic.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

• Ability to work OT during peak periods. (Non-Exempt Positions)
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the position.
• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
• No or very limited physical effort required. No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
