Join us in the exciting, innovative, and rewarding environment of the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources (KDFWR)! These are seasonal positions at Camp Earl Wallace. The Conservation Camp Counselor will instruct and assist in the instruction of campers in a program of archery, swimming, water safety, hunter safety, first aid, or nature study.
This is an Interim position. An Interim position means a position established to address a one-time or recurring need of less than nine (9) months duration and exempt from the classified service under KRS 18A.115.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Instructs and assists in the instruction of campers in various conservation camp programs.
- Teaches and demonstrates applicable methods, principles, and techniques.
- Works with young campers in developing sportsmanship, leadership, and an appreciation for and an interest in the conservation of natural resources.
- Counsels the campers and has responsibility for monitoring campers in their cabins at night.
- Leads general camping activities.
Preferred Skills and Abilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

First Aid and CPR certified, certified lifeguard, basic archery instructor, and a hunter education Instructor.
