Construction Coordinator jobs in Gary, IN

Construction Coordinator (HYBRID) needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh’s client in Merrillville, IN.

Pay Rate: $30/hr

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Retrieve and review available pertinent reference materials (erection, design, detail drawings, standards, and specifications).
• Provide construction oversight over planned activities included in the construction schedule.
• Perform off-site and on-site material inventory.
• Report safety compliance issues to the Construction Manager, Project Manager, Safety Manager, and direct supervisor.
• Work with the Construction Supervision and on-site safety personnel to stop unsafe construction activities. Inspect the construction site to ensure appropriate quality control on relevant processes.
• Submit daily logs to the Project Team at the end of each working day.
• Monitor project compliance with company specifications and design drawings using the coordinator checklists and annotated specifications / design drawings (if appropriate).
• Facilitate resolution of any design issues by interfacing with the Project Team.
• Provide input to the Construction Manager for the weekly project activity report.
• Complete and safely store all daily reports, Coordinator Checklists, photos, time sheet/unit sheet validation, as-built drawing submissions and marked reference drawings in the designated files in accordance with the client program standards. 

Required:

• Bachelor degree of Engineering or equivalent work experience
