Job Duties

• Supervise and coordinate the work of construction team on site (manage up to 7 people)
• Ensure that all work is completed on time, within budget and to the specified quality standards
• Coordinate material deliveries
• Communicate with project manager and other stakeholders
• Ensure that all safety regulations and procedures are followed on the job
• Motivate workers
• Train workers as applicable
• Assign tasks to crew members
• Resolve disputes between workers
• Serve as a liason between workers and supervisors
• Both lead and participate in construction projects (Do work and delegate work)
• Issue technical site visit progress updates as needed
• Possess general knowledge of construction trades, materials, and construction methods
• Inspect work performed by subcontractors
• Lead teams across multiple trades
• Monitor and ensure onsite cleanliness and orderliness
• Provide onsite quality control and focus on continual quality improvement
• Create a culture within the organization of integrity and exceptional service to clients
• Use business metrics to determine strategy and resource needs
• Know applicable regulations and permits required

Requirements

• Must be able to work effectively and efficiently for a minimum of eight (8) hours
• Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds
• Must be able to work in an outdoor environment and tolerate reasonably hot and cold conditions
• Must be able to safely and effectively climb and work from ladders and scaffolding
• Must live within 30 minutes of Lexington, KY

Education and Certification

• Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must hold a current OSHA-30 training program card, or obtain one within the first year
