Construction Foreman jobs in Omaha, NE

Construction Foreman directly supervises workers' day-to-day work on construction or installation projects. Coordinates subcontractor scheduling and the delivery and placement of on-site materials and equipment as required to execute each project phase. Being a Construction Foreman monitors productivity and work quality to meet schedules and standards. Troubleshoots any issues involving workers, contractors, safety, quality, changes, or processes and expedites solutions. Additionally, Construction Foreman completes or tracks daily time and labor reports. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Construction Foreman supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Construction Foreman typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Pay & Benefits:
    • Salaried position. Based on experience.
    • Salary ranges from $45,000 to $75,000.
    • Year-round work.

    Hiring Requirements:
    • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
    • Must proficiently be able to read a tape measure.
    • Must be highly skilled in math.
    • Manage a team of workers, including work schedules, project progress, and resource allocation.
    • Create cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials, and other project costs.
    • Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other construction management to determine budget and timeline.
    • Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers.
    • Create schedules for workers and subcontractors.
    • Hire additional subcontractors and assign work accordingly.
    • Maintain a daily log for the job site’s operations, reporting to management as necessary.
    • Make changes in the operations as necessary to best meet construction deadlines.
    • Implement management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient.
    • Must be highly communicative with both internal and external communication. 
    • Perform and pass a drug test.
    • Undergo a background check.

    Core Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
    Work in, at, or on construction projects, metal building construction, sheet metal, steel erection, equipment operation, new construction, repairs, remodels, and additions.
     
    Hours & Schedule:
    • Monday through Friday
    • From 7 AM to 5 PM
    • Overtime available.
