Construction Foreman directly supervises workers' day-to-day work on construction or installation projects. Coordinates subcontractor scheduling and the delivery and placement of on-site materials and equipment as required to execute each project phase. Being a Construction Foreman monitors productivity and work quality to meet schedules and standards. Troubleshoots any issues involving workers, contractors, safety, quality, changes, or processes and expedites solutions. Additionally, Construction Foreman completes or tracks daily time and labor reports. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Construction Foreman supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Construction Foreman typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Job Description
    Supervises, assigns, coordinates and evaluates semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel according to their skill, experience and job knowledge. Supervises and trains employees to improve quality and quantity of work performed. Recommends training to enhance skill and productivity of employees, and assists in development of training procedures. Breaks broad strategies down to practical action plans and ensures employees are trained to perform these plans. Responsible for complying with all technical aspects of the job including adherence to all drawings, procedures, etc. Responsible for manufacturing, installation, operation, testing, and process operations that have a significant financial impact on the company's performance. Supervises qualified trades staff; monitoring job and budget performance for all shifts. Candidates must have experience with Microsoft Office Suites (Excel and Word).

    Additional common management responsibilities as listed in Shipbuilding Management Charter 0001 within command media (SBMC 0001) and applicants should review the Charter and policies and procedures before applying for position.
    Basic Qualifications
    HS Diploma/GED and 3 years of relevant experience
    Current Ingalls Employees must meet the following criteria:
    • Superior Attendance and Disciplinary Record.
    • Candidate cannot have more than 3 unexcused absences in the last 180 day period.
    • Candidate cannot have any safety DANS that result in a disciplinary layoff in last 180 day period.
    • Candidate cannot have more than 2 total DANS in the last 180 day period (excluding lost tool).
