Construction Foreman directly supervises workers' day-to-day work on construction or installation projects. Coordinates subcontractor scheduling and the delivery and placement of on-site materials and equipment as required to execute each project phase. Being a Construction Foreman monitors productivity and work quality to meet schedules and standards. Troubleshoots any issues involving workers, contractors, safety, quality, changes, or processes and expedites solutions. Additionally, Construction Foreman completes or tracks daily time and labor reports. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Construction Foreman supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Construction Foreman typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Experienced Construction Foreman Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Foreman to join our team. As a Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing our construction projects from planning to completion, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. You will lead and manage a crew of construction workers, subcontractors, and other personnel, guiding them through all phases of the project.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate activities of construction workers and subcontractors on-site.
- Interpret and follow construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety guidelines, and regulations.
- Proactively identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.
- Monitor and manage project progress, including materials, equipment, and labor resources.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, progress reports, and inspections.
Requirements:- Proven experience as a Construction Foreman or similar role in the construction industry.
- Extensive knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and safety guidelines.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to handling unexpected situations.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills. Certification in construction management or a related field is a plus.
