Construction Foreman jobs in Santa Rosa, CA

We are currently seeking a Landscape Construction Foreman within our Construction Division who will be responsible for managing up to 10 employees on landscape construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret Landscaping and Civil Plans and Specifications
• Basic Horticultural knowledge of commonly used plants, and fertilizers
• Ensuring all crew members, follow company and general safety policies and procedures for OSHA compliance
• Safely operate, maintain, and transport heavy equipment, including backhoes, excavators, trenchers, and skip loaders.
• Knowledgeable of current irrigation material, use, operation, and installation methods
• Set and check grades. Some carpentry, concrete, and masonry skills are preferred
• Familiar with Public Works projects and installation requirements
• Understand customer needs and expectations. Maintain quality conscious approach to all projects

  
Position Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Foreman running commercial, residential projects, including Public Works
• Basic math skills, with the ability to supervise, and train crews
• Must have strong communication skills, and ability to do multi-task operations
• Able to lift material to 100lbs. Stand for long periods of time and work in all weather conditions
• Clean driving record and valid California Driver’s License 
• Bilingual in Spanish, English, and CLT a plus 

Work Environment

This job operates 100% of the time in a field environment. This role routinely uses landscape specific equipment such as company vehicles, hand tools, construction equipment, chemicals, and phones.

Physical Demands

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands or finger to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
