Construction Management Director oversees construction projects and operations to meet the organization's financial and growth objectives and fulfill client contractual requirements. Develops and implements quality, performance, and safety standards and procedures for operations. Being a Construction Management Director reviews and approves procurement of required material, equipment, subcontractors, and worker resources. Provides project updates and communicates with clients, contractors, governmental or regulatory officials, and other stakeholders. Additionally, Construction Management Director builds effective team capacity to plan and implement construction projects. Ensures all permits, licenses, or certifications required by regulatory authorities are obtained. Establishes and enforces safety protocols and procedures to provide safe job sites and minimize risk. Monitors costs and timelines and submits required progress reports to deliver projects on time and within budget. Implements best practice construction methods to improve efficiency, productivity, and project outcomes. Requires a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field. Typically reports to senior management. The Construction Management Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Construction Management Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.   • Function: Clear Construction is seeking a highly experienced and qualified Director of Finance (DFIN) to join our team. As the DFIN, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth and profitability.


    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Financial Planning, Reporting, and Analysis:
      • Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and budgets aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
      • Develop and implement financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts with the executive team to support decision-making processes.
      • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations for solutions to enhance profitability and efficiency.
      • Prepare accurate and timely financial and income statements, including balance sheets and cash flow statements.
      • Manage multiple company cap tables and provide ownership-level reporting to stakeholders
    • Accounting and Financial Reporting:
      • Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
      • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, reports, and tax filings in compliance with relevant regulations and accounting principles.
      • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
    • Budgeting and Cost Control:
      • Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and track performance against budgeted targets.
      • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive initiatives to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
    • Financial Risk Management:
      • Identify and assess financial risks, including market, credit, and liquidity risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
      • Monitor compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
    • Team Leadership and Development:
      • Manage the finance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
      • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the finance department.
      • Collaborate with executive management to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.


    Qualification Requirements

    MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required
    • MBA not required
    • Certified Public Accountant preferred
    • Minimum of five years of experience using Sage Intacct accounting software
    • Minimum of five years of experience with multi-entity accounting
    • Minimum of ten years of SME accounting, finance, and financial strategy experience
    • Expert knowledge of MS Office
    • Minimum of 5 years in director-level management
    • A proven track record as a DFIN or senior finance executive in a construction or related industry is preferred
    • Strong knowledge of financial planning, accounting principles, and financial analysis
    • Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
    • Strong leadership qualities and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment


    OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS

    • Capable of working with minimal oversight
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and duties simultaneously while maintaining a high attention to detail
    • Excellent oral communication skills, exemplified by a clear and professional manner of speaking
    • Discretion and confidentiality
