Assistant Project Manager Job Summary
- Preconstruction including project set-up and organization
- Drawing management including digital distribution to internal / external team, file updating & plotting
- Bidding including scope of work assembly, distribution, follow up, tracking & filing
- Process RFI’s for bidding, scope development and overall project
- Preparation of bid comparisons
- Budget setup and data entry into excel format including creating client presentation documents
- Quick turnaround pricing efforts and value engineering efforts
- Enter approved budget into accounting software
- Subcontract administration including issuance of contracts, change orders, purchase orders
- Track all budget changes in preparation for PCO log presentation
- Update PCO log
- Monthly client invoicing includes coding invoices, updating BSS, updating accounting software & compiling of client invoice
- Point person for all questions regarding client invoice
- Point person for all subcontractors & material suppliers for monthly invoicing & payment status
- Prepare pay applications for vendor payments monthly
- Process submittals (samples, product data sheets, shop drawings) for scope development & overall project
- Create and distribute OAC meeting agendas and minutes
- Create, update and issue weekly internal meeting notes
- Coordinate with job site material deliveries & timelines
- Review and update (as required) Daily Field Reports
- Support Project Manager & Site Superintendent throughout all aspects of the project
Competencies and Experience
- 3 years construction industry experience
- High-end custom residential home building experience highly desired
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents (drawings; specifications; geotechnical reports; etc)
- Excellent communication, team-building skills and detail follow through
- Familiarity with Sage Intacct (or similar Project Management/Accounting Software), Procore, Bluebeam and MS Project preferred
· Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
