You support our elite excavation services by safeguarding the company's financial health, integrity, and operations. You ensure the math adds up so we can keep contracting with honesty and integrity.

What you’ll get to do

• Work part-time in the office on a flexible schedule alongside a team of professionals who live and breathe by honesty, integrity, and solving a good old-fashioned challenge.
• Manage and QuickBooks Desktop to enhance financial transparency, streamline reporting, and improve decision-making.
• Handle accounts receivable (A/R) to promptly and accurately process invoices.
• Oversee accounts payable (A/P), maintaining smooth communication with vendors and ensuring timely payments.
• Speed up revenue generation with prompt invoicing.
• Cultivate positive customer relationships by addressing payment matters effectively.
• Manage payroll processing to ensure employees are compensated accurately and on time.
• Stay compliant with tax regulations by managing tax filing processes.
• Provide precise financial data to facilitate tax preparation and reporting.
• Coordinate subcontractor payments to ensure timely compensation for their services.
• Complete customer pay applications to ensure transparent billing and payment procedures.
• Optimize cash flow by closely monitoring cash inflows and outflows.
• Track material usage and expenses to enhance inventory management and project cost analysis.

What you bring to the role

• You have 2 years of experience performing business accounting and data analysis with QuickBooks Desktop(it's your happy place).
• You have 2 years of experience using Excel to create flawless reports that tell a financial story.
• When you get in “focused work mode,” there’s no stopping you. You are analytical, clear-headed, and extremely organized.
• You're a steady self-starter — someone people naturally depend on.
• You love to crunch numbers, but you're not just about data. You have a special ability to work with people with different points of view to reach solutions that everybody understands and respects.

Even better (but not required) if you

• Have experience working with construction or trades companies
