Construction Representative observes and inspects construction to ensure adherence to specifications, codes, and contract documents. Requires technical knowledge of multiple construction processes and experience in given field of inspection work. Being a Construction Representative may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Construction Representative gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Responsibilities:
· Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day management
of solar plant construction projects; monitors work performed by engineering
and construction firms.
· Review design drawings and project documents to
monitor contractor adherence to design and compliance requirements.
· Review contracts, purchase orders, and change
orders, and contractor invoices for payment.
· Provide oversight of installation activities and
quality assurance and quality control measures.
· Document and report to owner on all progress
status and issues related to safety, environmental, schedule, construction and
etc.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree
in engineering or construction Management or equivalent experience with at
least 5 years’ experience in solar or battery plant construction and directly
related to the duties and responsibilities listed above.
· Skill in
organizing resources and establishing priorities.
· Ability to
develop and deliver reports.
· Knowledge of
engineering design and construction methods.
· Ability to
communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
· Knowledge of
budgeting and cost estimating.
· Knowledge of
union labor management.
· Technical
knowledge of solar plant components and operations.
· Strong
interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with
a wide range of constituencies.
· Knowledge of
contract and project governing documents.
