Summary:
Kimo Constructors: Construction supervisors are responsible for overseeing and coordinating various aspects of a construction project, such as budget, schedule, quality, safety, and compliance. They also need to communicate effectively with different stakeholders, such as clients, contractors, engineers, architects, and workers. Kimo specializes in NMDOT work, including but not limited to; structural bridge/concrete work, flat work, and erosion control such as gabions and wire enclosed riprap.
Job Description:
A construction supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, and monitoring the progress of the project and all employees on that project. They must review specifications, drawings, and materials to ensure they meet industry and owner/engineer standards. Supervisors must also direct activities of subcontractors, and workers on the site, as well as inspect and evaluate the quality and safety of work in progress. Additionally, they must prepare and maintain documentation such as invoices, daily reports, change orders, and inspections. In addition, they need to communicate and report the status of the project to upper management, including but not limited to General Supervisor, Project Manager, and President of Kimo Constructors.
Responsibilities:
· Managing workflow within projects
· Training all New Hires on basics of construction
· Creating and managing work schedules, three week and monthly schedules
· Reporting to HR and Senior management
· Time reporting of all employees on their specific project, use of HeavyJobs app
· Evaluating performance and providing feedback
· Ensuring team work together to deliver quality work to strict deadlines
· Monitoring construction processes, and providing training and team building sessions are required
· Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations at all times
· Performing equipment, material and routine site inspections, regular safety meetings
· Scheduling regular meeting with site inspectors, testing, managers and staff
· Stay up to date with safety codes and advancements in construction
