Consumer Credit Manager supervises underwriting operations and oversees the loan application review process to determine loan eligibility and terms. Coordinates the day-to-day activities of the underwriting team to ensure that loan screening is conducted timely, accurately, and in compliance with all regulations. Being a Consumer Credit Manager provides loan options or product recommendations based on qualifications and keeps the team updated and informed of new products, regulations, or product changes. Assists customers through the loan process by researching and answering complex or unique customer inquiries, clarifying details, and coordinating with internal parties. Additionally, Consumer Credit Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Consumer Credit Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Consumer Credit Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Consumer Lending Processing Specialist I

    Reports to: Consumer Lending Processing Supervisor I

     

    Functions Supervised: None

     

    Primary Functions: Coordinate branch/member closings and perform necessary data input.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Respond to all phone, mail and internet generated member inquiries regarding loan approvals, denials, guidelines, policies, and programs.
  • Contact members and branches with approved loan requests, advise them of the terms and conditions of the loan.
  • Coordinate with members and branches to obtain the necessary information and documentation for loan closing.
  • Process, fund, and close CLC mail and E-Sign loans.
  • Obtain all loan related documents, verify validity of title documents, and obtain loan payoffs when necessary.
  • Create and review loan checklists.
  • Create adverse actions letters and Pre-Approval letters as needed.
  • Monitor and process requests and applications in assigned loan queues, phone queues and email inboxes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Education: High school graduate or equivalent.

     

    Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Not Applicable

    Experience/Skills: One year increasingly responsible experience in a related position, preferably within the consumer loan area or a comparable member service-related position with this credit union. One year direct public contact experience preferred. Must be able to type 35 wpm, operate a 10-key calculator and be familiar with on-line data operations. Must have ability to diplomatically handle difficult situations. Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.

    Tenure: Consumer Lending Processing Specialist II or III, Category 13 or 12, requires meeting proven acceptable performance standards as established by management. Directly related work experience and/or accelerated training completion may be substituted for tenure.

     

    Compensation

    Salary Pay Range:

    • Consumer Lending Processing Specialist I (Category 14): $41,484 - $60,567 annually
    • Consumer Lending Processing Specialist II (Category 13): $44,803 - $66,309 annually
    • Consumer Lending Processing Specialist III (Category 12): $48,387 - $73,549 annually

    Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above.

     

    In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
