Consumer Credit Supervisor supervises underwriting operations and oversees the loan application review process to determine loan eligibility and terms. Coordinates the day-to-day activities of the underwriting team to ensure that loan screening is conducted timely, accurately, and in compliance with all regulations. Being a Consumer Credit Supervisor provides loan options or product recommendations based on qualifications and keeps the team updated and informed of new products, regulations, or product changes. Assists customers through the loan process by researching and answering complex or unique customer inquiries, clarifying details, and coordinating with internal parties. Additionally, Consumer Credit Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure a consistent and quality experience for both direct and indirect loans. The supervisor works with indirect lending partners to assist funding loans in an efficient and compliant manner while also assisting with underwriting. The supervisor supports front line staff by resolving questions, complaints, and requests by serving as a liaison between the member, potential member, and the credit union; providing loan assistance to the credit union and its member; actively listening, identifying needs, providing information, promoting all Credit Union products and services; and performing other duties as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Knowledge:
Required Education: Education up to the equivalent of a four-year high school education.
Required Experience: 4 - 6 years experience in a financial institution environment with minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Loan Officer or equivalent education and/or work experience.
