    Role Summary:

    The Data Analytics Supervisor is an operational role that acts as an experienced Business Strategies Analyst while also providing leadership, oversight, strategy, and direction around the Credit Union’s data analytics strategy and systems. The Data Analytics Supervisor also oversees and coordinates the Credit Union’s Data Analytics Group, which is a cross-functional team of various analysts in other departments. The Data Analytics Supervisor uses this group to discuss and establish data standards, to help coach and educate other analysts on various methodologies, and to share resources to help build skills across the organization.

    Essential Job Duties

    • Understands and helps manage how data flows, into which systems it flows, how it is transformed, etc. to ensure usable data assets are available to the Credit Union team.
    • Participates in discussions and decisions related to new codes, fields, processes, etc. related to data within Symitar, Salesforce, and other source systems.
    • Leads a collaborative process in the creation of data governance standards and a data governance framework for the Credit Union data assets.
    • Works closely with IT, Finance, third-party vendors, and contractors to help strategically plan, design, and maintain the data assets and systems required to conduct necessary analysis; this includes migration to a cloud-based data warehouse and other analytics tools, systems, and platforms.
    • Facilitates communication with the Information Security Team to ensure that our data strategy and our information security strategy coalesce.
    • Establishes and oversees the Credit Union’s “Data Analytics Group” of cross-functional analysts across the Credit Union.
    • Helps create a culture of self-service data by building appropriate departmental datasets and helping other areas understand how and where they can get their own data utilizing tools such as Tableau Cloud, Excel, and other delivery channels.
    • Evaluates new technologies or methodologies and works with other Leaders to assess and implement those into the Credit Union’s data operations.
    • Assists with workload allocation throughout the department and reviews new requests ensure proper resources and skillsets are available.
    • Conducts status update meetings with other team members, as appropriate, to ensure deadlines are met and initiatives move according to projection.
    • Assumes responsibility for other duties or projects as required or assigned.

    Required Competencies

    • T-SQL development skills required for the troubleshooting and maintenance of mission-critical stored procedures, tables, views and ETL processes.
    • Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel, SQL Reporting Services, and various business analytics programs and tools.
    • Excellent analytical and judgment skills, as well as the ability to make quick decisions and think outside the box when working with complex situations.
    • Demonstrates a high level of flexibility and initiative and can work effectively without direct supervision.
    • Forward thinking and possesses business acumen.
    • Proven ability to be a technical leader and assists others in their growth and development.

    • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

    Desired Skills

    • Experience with Azure DevOps, particularly Azure Pipelines and Git.
    • Experience with Tableau and Tableau Cloud, including optimization of visualization performance, Tableau Bridge integration and scheduled extract refreshes.
    • Understanding of Agile practices and the overall software development lifecycle.
    • Background in Financial Services
    • Experience with Snowflake or Databricks.
    • Exposure to OpCon or similar command line orchestration tools.
    • Experience with Salesforce, particularly Marketing Cloud and Financial Services Cloud.
    • Experience with Mulesoft, Informatica, SSIS and other integration/ETL solutions.

    Education Requirements

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics preferred. Commensurate work experience considered.

    Experience Requirements

    • 3 Years of experience in leadership, data analysis, financial accounting, product and project management is required.

    Communication Skills Required

    • The ability to read and comprehend moderate to advanced instructions as well as various correspondence and memos.
    • The ability to write moderate to advanced correspondence within professional etiquette standards required.
    • The ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to members, clients, and other employees of the Credit Union is also required.

    Physical Requirements

    Compensation - The Data Analytics Supervisor pay range is $95,000 to $146,000 per year. Hiring rates are dependent on several factors, including years of related work experience, education, and geographic location. Corning Credit Union also offers an annual bonus plan as part of its comprehensive compensation package. Additionally, most roles have further levels providing added growth opportunities and earnings potential.
