Position Title: Vice President Lending
Department: Centralized Lending
Reports to: CEO/President
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Compensation: $80,000 to $135,000 annual salary
Job Summary:
The Vice President of Lending will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee activities in consumer and real estate lending. Responsible for the credit union’s administrative management of internal and external loan functions and relationships. Develop and implement consistent organizational policies and procedures that comply with external regulations. Support and provide direction to the centralized lending department. Ensure maximum profitability of lending activities that are in the best interest of the member while maintaining the focus to protect credit union assets.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains staff in the lending department.
· Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
· Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
· Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Establish strategic plans to align with the credit union’s business plan; ensure the implementation of target goals for the department.
· Communicate credit union goals and direction with all employees to ensure clear understanding of rules, regulations, requirements, and expectations.
· Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures in accordance with credit union goals and strategies and regulatory guidelines.
· Work closely with branches and other departments to maintain consistency in credit union lending policies and procedures.
· Direct the work of lending department in areas to include underwriting, loan processing, loan documentation, and approval or denial of consumer loans.
· Direct the development and monitoring of performance standards. Provide mentoring, coaching, or training to support and develop managers and staff.
· Research and evaluate feasibility of new lending products and make recommendations to Executive Management and Board of Directors.
· Develop and implement plans for expansion of lending programs. Keep abreast of changes in the industry, changing trends in lending and react to changes in a way that maintains competitiveness.
· Responsible for adhering to all established policies and procedures including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Customer Identification Program (CIP), Member Due Diligence (MDD), HIPAA, ADA and other federal/state compliance regulations.
· May Represent and promote the credit union at external functions.
· Other duties as required by the credit union.

Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Business, Business Administration or Finance.
· At least five years of lending-related experience is required.
· At least five years of managerial experience.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· May require standing and walking 25% of the time, lifting up to a maximum of 50 pounds, and other physical actions that include stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, pulling, and pushing.
