Work Days and Expected Hours:
Monday - Friday: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
(Additional hours as necessary to meet the objectives of the department)
Function: Coordination of all validation and reporting of Consumer Equity Loans that are HMDA reportable.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the maintenance of an accurate and complete HMDA Loan Application Register by:
Review every Consumer Equity loan for HMDA accuracy
Determine the action code for all cancelled and denied loan applications
Input correct HMDA data on Consumer Loan Origination System
Assist in the training and education of Consumer Lending and Lending personnel who submit equity applications.
Determine the cause of the HMDA errors, track by employee and communicate to the responsible supervisor.
Keep current with Regulation C (HMDA) requirements.
Respond to requests from the Compliance Department regarding potential HMDA violations.
Advances knowledge through further education and/or obtaining certifications and attends training on regulatory, platforms and audit issue or concerns.
Enhance good working relationships with S&T employees, demonstrates the ability to work effectively independently; also works as a team player to the success of all department and the organization.
Obtains proficiency in the Consumer Lending Origination software, Compliance Relief, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, & Outlook), Internet searches, Core Operating System (FIS), imaging system along with the upgrades to these programs or replacement software and any other conduit available to process all applications as well as prepare required documentation.
Acquires a thorough knowledge of all applicable laws / regulations and the Bank's Corporate & Lending Policies / Underwriting Manuals to ensure compliance.
Performs additional duties as required including any administrative assistance to support the functions of the Consumer Loan Operations Department.
Maintain and enhance good working relationships with S&T employees, demonstrates the ability to work effectively independently; also works as a team player to the success of the department and the organization.
Assumes additional responsibilities as required.
Physical Demands
Operates a keypad device 95% of the day. Operates office equipment 5% of the day. The primary parts of the body involved in performing these tasks are the fingers, thumbs, hands, wrists and elbows, lower and upper torso. Sitting is required 6 hours per day while working at the computer, standing 1 hour and walking 1 hour. Requires the use of manual dexterity skills for typing up to 60% of the business day. Specific vision requirements include close vision of 18"-20" for computer work. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Education
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; with an additional two-year degree preferred; with specialized training preferred.
Experience
Requires two to five years general experience and one to two years specialized experience preferred.
