    Is recruiting for two Loan Closer/Processor 1/2 flex positions located in Juneau!
     
    What you will be doing:
    The Loan Closer/Processor position works within our Documents section and is responsible for preparing all loan closing documents and processing all loan closings for the Divisions commercial fishing loans, small business loans, and other various commercial loans. The Loan Closer/Processor is under supervision and is provided training and necessary resources to produce excellent services to our constituents. As a member of Documents Section, you’ll have a direct positive impact on the economy of Alaska.

    The Division of Investments administers and services several loan programs under the Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development. These programs were primarily designed to promote economic development through direct state lending in industries and areas of the state that are not adequately serviced by the private sector.

    Special Notice:
    You will utilize proprietary software for all loan programs administered. Utilization includes entering data and customer correspondence, reviewing and analyzing existing borrower information.Loan Closer/Processor 1:
    High School diploma or the equivalent
    AND
    Six months of experience performing a variety of office clerical assignments of average difficulty.
     
    Substitution:
    Completion of post secondary course work from an accredited institution will substitute for the required experience. (3 semester or 4 quarter hours of college course work is equivalent to 1 month. 150 of class room hours of vocational technical education is equivalent to 1 month of experience).
     
    Special Note:
    High School equivalent includes G.E.D. or completion of any basic adult education course of 480 class hours (16 weeks at 30 hours per week), or six months of work experience performing duties related to document processing or twelve months of work experience involving some routine tasks related to office or clerical support or highest grade of school completed plus amount of work experience which totals 12 years.
     
    Loan Closer/Processor 2:
    High School diploma or the equivalent
    AND
    Six months of experience in lending, banking, real estate, title insurance or a closely related field.
    OR
    High School diploma or the equivalent
    AND
    The completion of the training program for Loan Closer/Processors at the Division of Investments will substitute for the education and experience requirements.
     
    Substitution:
    College course work in business, finance, economics, public administration or a closely related field will substitute for the required experience on the basis of 1 semester hour or 1.3 quarters hours is equivalent to 1 month.
     
    Special Note:
    High School equivalent includes G.E.D. or completion of any basic adult education course of 480 class hours (16 weeks at 30 hours per week), or six months of work experience performing duties related to document processing or twelve months of work experience involving some routine tasks related to office or clerical support or highest grade of school completed plus amount of work experience which totals 12 years.
