Consumer Loan Servicing Clerk jobs in Westerly, RI

Waterford High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Family and Consumer Science Teacher to join our high school faculty effective for the 2024-25 school year. We are looking for an individual who is committed to providing engaging and comprehensive instruction in one or more of the following areas depending on experience/interest: culinary arts, parenting, personal finance, and/or interior design.

Waterford Public Schools serves approximately 2,400 students in grades PK-12. The Waterford Board of Education is a nine-member elected body.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Develop and implement dynamic lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel supported and encouraged to participate.
• Teach topics within the family and consumer science curriculum.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to enhance student learning and understanding.
• Assess student progress regularly through assignments, projects, and assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum and instructional practices across grade levels and subject areas.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in family and consumer science education.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Science Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid teaching certification in Family and Consumer Science (or eligibility for certification).
• Previous teaching experience at the high school level preferred.
• Strong knowledge of family and consumer science content areas and curriculum standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Dedication to professional growth and ongoing learning.

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS:

State of Connecticut endorsement

• Home Economics PK-12 (045) is required.
