Consumer Loan Servicing Manager manages the loan servicing function to deliver efficient collections, escrow, and cashiering operations. Establishes processes and procedures to maintain accuracy and completeness of required documentation. Being a Consumer Loan Servicing Manager sets operating performance metrics and standards for speed, quality, and customer service. Oversees the preparation of reporting for internal departments and external agencies. Additionally, Consumer Loan Servicing Manager coordinates audit requests and processes. Develops training and communication mechanisms that inform the team of regulatory requirements and updates. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a senior manager or head of a unit/department. The Consumer Loan Servicing Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Consumer Loan Servicing Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for maintenance of loan documentation and procedures regarding insurance, title tracking, rate compliance regulations, and related duties to the loan servicing department. Must follow up on the necessary administrative procedures regarding loan files and their proper verifications.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requires a sound basic knowledge of loan products, documentation, and branch operations. Must possess a high degree of computer and organizational skills for maximum job performance. Must present a professional image when representing the credit union. Ability to prepare and complete detailed documentation is required. Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Clear and effective communication abilities required. Must be able to view a terminal screen and operate a computer keyboard. Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review loan files to ensure proper documentation and rate compliance
- Process paid loans and title/lien releases
- Verification of deposits
- Insurance and title tracking
- Administer collateral protection insurance
- Compile information and prepare loan department internal reports
- Miscellaneous filing, scanning, and gathering of branch information
- Provide support to members and branch staff
- Additional duties as assigned
