Contact Center Director directs all aspects of an organization's contact center policies, objectives, operations, and initiatives. Analyzes operations and develops key performance criteria and standards to monitor and manage agents' performance.   • Position Summary
    Provides support for institutional planning including development, monitoring, and reporting on grant-funded projects in a manner that upholds Petersburg Medical Center's mission and quality standards and results in better patient health outcomes and overall satisfaction and stronger operational and fiscal capacity for PMC.

    Primary Responsibilities include: collaboration with executive and project management personnel to develop strategic plans for programmatic innovation and sustainability; preparation of federal, state, and philanthropic grant proposals in pursuit of institutional planning priorities; acting as liaison between various departments to ensure timely execution of all awards; monitoring and reporting on rant funded projects; and, evaluation of progress toward grant project outcomes and overarching institutional goals.

    This position will work closely with PMC's executive and management teams to develop and execute a comprehensive grant strategy aligned with PMC goals and priorities and cultivate effective internal and external working partnerships to ensure smooth processes for life-cycle grants administration. The Grant Director of Planning amp; Evaluation will oversee institutional grants to ensure 100% compliance with funder requirements; maintain positive and productive communications with funders; update and manage quarterly grant budgets to actual charts in partnerships with Finance department; project grant expenditures for management staff coding and planning of work activities; and monitor and access progress toward outcomes and institutional goals.

    Duties
    • Specific responsibilities to the Department of Treasury WERC (Workforce Education Resource Center) grants management as designated by the grant and the grant requirements
    • Completion of annual strategic grants application plan in alignment with PMC strategic planning processes to support known and emerging needs critical to achieving long term goals
    • Identify, monitor, and match relevant funding opportunities and develop grant-based funding proposals, serving as the primary pre-award specialist and as grant writer for institution-wide grants
    • Lead collaborative project planning efforts inclusive of both internal and external stakeholders
    • Develop and review budgets, budget justifications and subrecipient budgets / documents for accuracy consistency, thoroughness and funder guidelines compliance
    • Ensure grant proposals are approved by PMC leadership to guarantee timely submission of proposals
    • Advise project directors and administrative staff on interpretation and implementation of institutional, federal, and award-specific policies, procedures and regulations. Independently assess and take action on varied internal and external requests and identify appropriate action to satisfy such requests
    • Manage submission of proposals through web portals or electronic research administration application software (e.g., grants.gov, GEMS, etc.) as appropriate.
    • Administer and effectively manage a varied portfolio of external awards
    • Review and analyze the effectiveness of grant-funded programs and projects, identifying areas of need for enhancement and providing any recommendations for change
    • Provide regular reports to the CEO, CFO, Clinic Director, and others on grant submissions and awards
    • In collaboration with colleagues, develop and provide training and support related to development, management, and evaluation of grant-funded projects to project director and administrative staff
    • Cultivate relationships with administrators, clinical personnel, and other stakeholders to stay informed of funding needs and opportunities
    • Meet regularly with institutional, community, and cross-sectoral partners to develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of priorities, programs, policies and practices.
    • Serve on relevant workgroups or committees as a representative of PMC as directed
    • Formulate and monitor grant-funded cooperative agreements or partnerships with government and private agencies as a representative of PMC as directed
    • Prepare technical reports and public informational materials on grant-funded projects and outcomes
    • Adhere to the hospital policies in project planning, monitoring and assessment
    • Maintain expertise in complex and evolving best practices in grant / program development and evaluation
    Knowledge and Skills
    • Knowledge of and experience with leading grant development and /or research administration, including demonstrated success leading grant application and administration process
    • Knowledge of and experience with working a broad spectrum of grant types and funding agencies
    • Knowledge of and experience with electronic grants management and reporting systems
    • Knowledge of and experience with budget development, proposals preparation and grantee compliance
    • Knowledge of and experience with effective management and leadership practices
    • Knowledge of and experience in health, social and economic issues affecting the development and implementation of PMC programs and planning; funding cycles of state and federal government agencies; and state and federal legislation and programs affecting planning efforts in Alaska
    • Knowledge of and experience with Federal Office Management and Budget Uniform Guidance
    • Knowledge of and experience in planning principles, techniques, trends, policies and programs concerning health or social service delivery; project management, including program development, contract administration, and grant administration; and quality improvement process management
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and develop positive working relationships with a broad range of constituencies
    • Excellent organizational, time-management and project management skills
    • Skill in oral and written communication; excellent writing, editing and proof-reading skills
    • Skill in implementing and embracing a culture of diversity and inclusion
    • Skill in building collaborative administrative processes, and in establishing and maintaining effective professional relationships
    • Ability to interpret, explain and apply complex regulations, policies and procedures
    Required Education
    Bachelor's degree in public health, business, social sciences, non-profit management or related field is ideal but not required; advanced graduate degree in one of the above fields preferred. Demonstration of knowledge and capabilities equivalent to those usually obtained through completion of an undergraduate course of study, at minimum is necessary in absence of a formal degree.

    Experience / Training
    Demonstrated experience in non-profit, community health, public health or Alaska Tribal Health System work environments. Five (5 ) years of experience leading development of grants / contracts with at least one (1) year of responsibility at the lead / advanced level for managing grant professionals; and / or 5 years of professional experience in data collection and analysis, planning , coordination, management and / or evaluation of services or programs with at least 1 year of responsibility at the lead / advanced level for coordination and development of comprehensive planning effort(s) involving diverse stakeholders.
