The Floor Supervisor position is a Exempt (Salary) position.
Tuesday- Saturday, 8am-5pm.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of assigned shift, unit, and/or cottage. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including conducting performance appraisals. Responsibilities include planning, assigning and directing work of employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Supervisory Responsibilities: The position will directly supervise Lead MHT Staff and Mental Health Technician staff at the RTC.
Qualifications:
Freedom from previous criminal convictions that may adversely affect the employee’s compatibility with the RTC clients and employee standards established by FCSA. A fingerprint and/or records check will be required.
All applicants must be at least 21 years of age due to State of AK regulations and must pass a State of AK Background Check.
Current Alaska driver’s license and insurable driving record in accordance with FCSA policy limitations/restrictions. This position is a driving position. Applicants will be required to submit a driving record if selected for the position.
HSD or GED equivalent.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in psychology, social work, justice, guidance and counseling, sociology, education, nursing, or other human service field preferred.
*Equivalent work and/or educational experience may be substituted on a year by year basis. When substituting educational experience 30 college credits will be considered equal to one year of substitute experience.in a human service field or related field from an accredited institution or the documented equivalent of full-time experience working with youth in the human service field.
At least 1 year working in the mental health or behavioral health field required.
At least 1 year in a management or supervisory role required.
Strong Interpersonal and leadership skills adequate to work effectively as the facilitator of a treatment team.
Strong organizational skills, excellent verbal communication skills and characteristics suitable to provide a positive role model for adolescents.
Strong Communication and emotional skills adequate to work as part of a treatment team.
Strong computer skills, to include familiarity with Microsoft Office, Publisher and Excel.
Experience in proofreading professional correspondence.
Physical ability to employ The Therapeutic Aggression Control Techniques-II (TACT II) after being certified.
Strong work and professional ethics.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work assignments.
Must certify or be certified and remain current in First Aid and CPR certificate.
Must be able to work flexible hours when necessary, including evenings or weekends
Knowledge of State of Alaska, Residential Child Care Facilities regulations.
