Job Summary
As a Service Writer, you will play a vital role in the automotive service industry by acting as a liaison between customers and the service department. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure excellent customer service and efficient workflow within the service department.
Duties
- Greet customers and assist them with their service needs
- Document customer concerns and vehicle issues accurately
- Communicate effectively with technicians to ensure proper vehicle diagnosis and repair
- Provide estimates for services and obtain necessary approvals from customers
- Schedule service appointments and follow up with customers on the status of their vehicles
- Maintain organized records of service orders and invoices
Requirements
- Experience in automotive repair or dealership environment is preferred
- Knowledge of CDK is preferred
- Bi-Lingual is a plus
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance services such as tire service, brake repair, oil changes, shocks/struts, etc.
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Familiarity with auto body repair processes is a plus
