    The Director of Diversity, Education and Programs will lead our company’s DE&I education efforts to include various components of learning. They will also serve as the Team Member Resource Groups and Diversity Council lead. Responsibilities include the design, development and implementation of a formalized and robust education program, develop program guidelines, skill building, tools and evaluation process to measure effectiveness.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to:

    • Responsible for the design, development and implementation of a formalized mentoring program including one-to-one mentoring, mentoring circles (group mentoring) and cross-cultural pairing. Develop mentoring program guidelines, skill building, tools and evaluation process to measure effectiveness.
    • Develops, implements and manages a skill-certification process to validate the level of proficiency in skills built through development opportunities both formal and on-the-job. Collaborates with HR to ensure alignment with functional and other skills identified as necessary to move between management levels.
    • Builds, implements and executes strategic initiatives identified as part of ongoing DE&I efforts to include all aspects of talent management and talent development efforts to build the internal and external talent pipeline, identify and develop top talent deep in the organization and enhance the employee experience and work environment.
    • In collaboration with HR, builds and implements education and development programs to include internships, manager apprentice programs, and executive track development programs.
    • Executes strategic initiatives from DE&I team, related to talent acquisition, to include implementation of a strategy to attract, develop, engage and retain employees, in alignment and collaboration with various parts of HR.
    • Manages the implementation DE&I projects, programs and initiatives.
    • Leads and facilitates decision-making discussions with key stakeholders to determine changes and upgrades needed to all projects for which this role is responsible such as mentoring program, DE&I Education and other similar DE&I programs and initiatives.
    • Drives the development of Key Performance Indicators (“KPIs”) for DE&I projects, programs and initiatives.
    • Researches trends and best practices regarding leadership accountability aligned to DE&I objectives.
    • Enhances the subject matter expertise of the DE&I Team through research and analysis and external benchmarking of DE&I and Organizational Development best practices related to DE&I projects.
    • Provides input to the Department’s submission for the annual DE&I report.
    • Engages in self-directed work; sets and maintains timetables for projects; manages deadlines and resources; works with a wide degree of creativity and latitude as well as minimal supervision; and regularly updates his/her own skills through on-going training and formal education.
    • Supports other initiatives, programs and projects of the Department, as assigned.
    • Designs and implement an overall strategy to maximize the effectiveness of TMRGs and Diversity Councils.
    • Provides independent, decisive action, particularly in managing the Diversity Councils, the TMRGs and other DE&I programs and initiatives.
    • Serves as the subject matter expert of the DE&I Team by providing research and analysis, and external benchmarking, of DE&I trends and best practices as it relates to ERGs and Diversity Councils.
    • Owns responsibility for advising key stakeholders of progress against DE&I goals related to TMRGs and Diversity Councils in the annual strategic plan reporting on Key Performance Indicators (“KPIs”).
    • Provides direction and makes recommendations based on D & I reporting and KPIs to DE&I Team leadership, Department leadership, and Company senior leadership.
    • Provides input and support for preparation of the Company’s responses to DE&I reputation surveys, questionnaires, etc.
    • Manages TMRG Manager and supports VP in tracking of all initiative successes and growth opportunities
    • Acts as project lead for other initiatives, programs and projects of the Department, as assigned.
    • Responsible for setting and maintaining timetables for projects; manages deadlines and resources; works with a wide degree of creativity and latitude as well as minimal supervision; and regularly updates his/her own skills through on-going training and formal education.
    • Develop DE&I education strategy which encompasses tactics for communicating DE&I themes/awareness education
    • Oversee the development and execution of a DE&I communication strategy which reaches all Team Members throughout the Company

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred with a concentration in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development or subject matter related to Diversity & Inclusion or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an Organizational Development or Diversity and Inclusion role, Learning & Development, or other related experience. 
    • 5 years previous experience working in hospitality or a similar resort setting preferred.
    • Not required but preferred: instructional design, learning and development, and/or Diversity & Inclusion certification.
    • Must have commitment to and demonstrate at all times Company mottos.

Excellent organizational skills with ability to self-manage process and prioritize assignments and information; ask appropriate questions for clarification; and accomplish project goals accordingly. Ability to function effectively with strong attention to detail, and demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making capability.
    • Multi-Tasking/Time Management. Must balance multiple, shifting and sometimes conflicting priorities with proper attitude; and must meet established deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
    • Quality of Work Product. Ability to produce high quality work products in both verbal and written form, with consistency, accuracy and completeness.
    • Continuous improvement. Demonstrates commitment to continuous improvement of D & I initiatives, program offerings, processes and procedures, and of the Company overall.
    • Computer skills. Good working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and/or the equivalent.
    • Professional appearance. Must maintain at all times a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance, adhering to company standards.
