Control & Instrument Engineer designs, installs, optimizes, and adapts electronic control systems and instruments to automate and monitor industrial processes. Develops technical designs, process diagrams, SCADA block diagrams, and control schematics to implement automation controls. Being a Control & Instrument Engineer configures systems using PLC and HMI techniques. Models, tests, and measures output and data to analyze performance or quality issues and develop solutions. Additionally, Control & Instrument Engineer requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a manager. The Control & Instrument Engineer work is closely managed.   • Essential Job Functions:

    • Reads and interprets design specifications
    • Installs Electro/Pneumatic/Hydraulic instrument and associated tubing per client specifications.
    • Drives from site to site as needed to perform tasks assigned and installation work.
    • Attends training sessions, seminars and appropriate educational classes required by department
    • Other duties as assigned

    Required Minimum Qualifications:

    • Education: High school diploma, or equivalent. Vocational training/certification or other postsecondary education directly relative to position is preferred.
    • Work Experience: Five (5) years’ experience with the installation of common oilfield instrumentation and associated tubing, valves, drains, etc.
    • License/Certifications:
      • Valid driver license with clean driving record
      • OSHA 10 certification, or ability to obtain upon hire
      • H2S certification, or ability to obtain upon hire
    • Post Job Offer Requirements:
      • Take and pass a pre-employment drug test
      • Alaska North Slope locations only: Take and pass a Fit-for-Duty Examination

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

    • Ability to read maps, and navigate to remote locations.
    • Ability to plan and organize within a work schedule.
    • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
    • Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions.
    • Computer skills commensurate with program and job applications
    • Must be able to take direction and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
